Bridgewater – How To Get Here

Bridgewater

Welcome To Historic, Friendly Bridgewater, Maine!

How To Get Here

Heading north on the main corridor of Aroostook County, US Rt 1 is the route most take to travel through Northern Maine.

Bridgewater Maine is cut in two north to south by US Rt 1. So if heading up Interstate 95, take the Houlton Maine exit 302 and turn left on US Rt 1 to proceed north to Bridgewater Maine.

Otherwise access by snow sled or ATV trail or coming over from New Brunswick Canada which requires a passport. See Mars Hill Mountain?

Bridgewater Maine, Aroostook County Friendly Small Town!

Lots of our Canadian cousins do cross border hop for cheaper auto gasoline and other products purchased stateside in Maine.

Northern Maine has a US port of entry all along the International border boundary with Canada. Can I see your license and passport please? Anything to declare? What is the purpose of your trip today into Canada or back into the states?

Both sides of the US – Canada border markets cross back and forth, some daily. We are all related to folks on both sides of the border and many in Maine call a trip to Canada as “heading over home”.

Check out a house for sale on Whitney Brook in Bridgewater Maine just listed!

Crossed over through Bridgewater, other Aroostook County entry ports a lot to ski at Crabbe Mountain.

For hockey games my two sons were playing at Canadian ice arenas up and down the Aroostook County Maine / New Brunswick Canada border.

Not far from Big Rock Mars Hill Ski Area and golf course either.
