Cary Library has a collection of close to 56,000 items. Plus the ability to add to that collection of books, magazines, audio-material, VHS/DVD’s. Thanks to the Interlibrary Loan service.
The local Cary Library’s internet connection helps folks looking for a job.
Applying for it online, to email, to utilize government services and resources too. 
There are monthly lectures at Cary Library.
Plus access to over 2100 electronic books with the Maine Info Net partnership. The library continues to update software to renew, place holds and to review books.
The original 1904 building built in part with monies from Andrew Carneigie’s endowment to libraries. Cary Library is rich with lots of supporters inside and out.
The Oddfellows Rockabema Logge number 78 provide funding recently to have the front steps, side walls updated.
The new Cary Library addition makes everything handicap friendly too. And for the little ones, the library is an excellent place to start a life long literacy pathway.
It is no secret that well read children turn into the best writers, communicators and score high in academic tests. Get better jobs.
There are story and craft hour installment times offered at Cary Library. Tiny Tot time slots for 2 to 4 year old “readers”.
Area southern Aroostook schools tour and use the facility. Plus a five week summer reading program is always well attended in the Shiretown.
Nearly 2200 books were read by one recent summer reading program at Cary Library.
